Death of Mbah Surip Trending on Twitter

Mbah Surip, the 60 something street reggae musician who shot to fame and ridiculous amount of fortune this past several months from obscurity thanks to his 20 year old song, "Tak Gendong Kemana-mana," passed away at 10:30 this morning before they could get him to the hospital after a possible heart attack.
 
With thousands of Indonesians embracing Twitter this year, news of his death spread throughout the social networking service and by midday, Mbah Surip began trending on Twitter.
 
Love him or hate him, he will be missed.

Long live the King of Pop


One strong and powerful message by the planet's once most prolific performer. Unfortunately the world lost Michael Jackson long before he passed away today.

"I'm starting with the man in the mirror
I'm asking him to change his ways
And no message could have been any clearer
If you wanna make the world a better place
Take a look at yourself and make a change"

I'm still working on it.
